Outreach Services

Rocky River Public Library’s Outreach Services provide patrons free delivery and pick-up of library materials to Rocky River residents who are temporarily or permanently homebound due to age, illness, or disability. For over 35 years, patrons have been able to take advantage of the personalized service we offer for continued engagement with their community.

Our outreach librarians select and take materials to a patron in their own home, as well as to local apartment buildings and senior living facilities. This special service features items based on an individual’s preferences from our regularly circulating collection, selected by a degreed librarian and knowledgeable staff members. We also provide print materials for borrowing through Rocky River Senior Center.

If you or someone you know needs this service, or if you have a question about your specific situation, please call the Outreach Librarian at (440) 895-3755, the general Library number at (440) 333-7610 and ask for the Outreach Department, or email us at
