2025 Summer Reading: Color Our World

This Inside View’s Featured Icon is for the 2025 Summer Reading with the theme: “Color Our World”! Below you can register for our programs and click their links to go to their registration.

Summer Reading Kickoff Party
Saturday, May 31, 12:00 to 3:00 pm, Library Lawn
Join us Saturday, May 31st, and together we can “Color Our World” creating colorful collaborative art work and playing a variety of lawn games. Adults, Teens, and Children can sign up and win by reading all summer long. Come for the games and crafts, and stay for the Rocky River Community Band’s performance starting at 2:00pm.

Artwork with Melting Crayons
Tuesday, June 10 3:30 to 4:30 pm, Auditorium
Join Rocky River Public Library as we decorate vases with melting crayons! All materials will be provided. Registration required.

Tie-Dye on the Lawn!
Tuesday, July 1, 4:30 to 5:30 pm, Library Lawn
Want to make some wearable art? Join us for a tie-dye session! We will provide bandanas, but feel free to bring additional pre-washed items to dye.

Colorful Crafternoon
Tuesday, July 8, 3:00 to 5:00 pm, Grand Reading Room
Escape the summer heat with an afternoon of painting! Stop in to enjoy painting at your own pace and without instruction. Supplies provided but bring your creativity.

Escape Room: Library Heist
Tuesday, July 15, 2:00 to 5:00 pm, Purple Room
Calling all expert sleuths! Some Library artwork vanished overnight, and we need your help. Teams will work together to race against the clock to restore order to the Library. 30-minute segments 

Grades 4-6 2:00-2:30 | 2:30-3:00 | 3:00-3:30 | 3:30-4:00 

Grades 7-12 4:00-4:30 | 4:30-5:00 

Escape Room: The Cowan Caper

The top-secret Cowan Pottery glaze recipes have been stolen! Solve the puzzles and decode the clues to uncover the mystery behind the theft. 45-minute segments for Adults
