HVAC Replacement Project Details
Taking care of this beautiful building is one of the ways we take care of the community. as we begin an hvac replacement project this fall, we wish to share more about the work ahead, what it means for patrons, and why this investment matters.
After more than 50 years, the current HVAC system has exceeded its life expectancy and needs to be modernized. While the work may bring some temporary inconvenience, it represents an important investment in the comfort and long-term care of our shared public space. This project will help ensure the Library remains a welcoming and comfortable place year-round for years to come.
Construction is expected to be phased during the milder fall season so the library can remain open as much as possible. advance notice will be provided for work that may affect patrons, neighbors, or community partners. our goal is to keep everyone informed and reduce inconvenience wherever possible.
Once complete, the upgraded system will provide more consistent temperatures, better humidity control, improved energy efficiency, and a more pleasant environment for patrons, staff, and visitors. It will also support more reliable and cost-effective operations and help reduce seasonal HVAC disruptions.
This project is possible because of the careful planning by library leadership and the board of trustees. for more than a decade, funds were set aside so this essential work could move forward without additional borrowing or a bond issue. we are grateful to be able to address this crucial infrastructure need in a way that honors your investment in us and supports our ongoing service every day.
Maintaining the building and its infrastructure is an important part of serving our community.
