Public Computer Center
To use the Public Computers you will need your 14-digit Rocky River Public Library The Computer Center is located in the lower lever of the library and has 18 public use computers, including two Express terminals, 1 scanner and 1 Large Print terminal with magnification and vision impairment reading software. Computers in the Computer Center, the Teen Area, and the Children’s Department all include internet access and subscription access to over 60 premium research databases, which provide accurate and reliable information for homework help, researching investments or genealogy, and other interests. Although we cannot guarantee that all CD-ROMs, DVDs, or user-downloaded programs and applications will work on our computers, patrons are welcome to try and staff will assist in such efforts as time and knowledge permits. Ultimately, it is the user’s responsibility to know how to use the computers, the internet, and any software, programs, and applications made available to them. Library staff may only be able to guide the user in working within the library’s unique network environment. (However, our Training Department offers free classes that range from Introduction to Computers and the Internet to much more advanced functionality of specialized software for those interested in learning more.) There is also a typewriter available in the Computer Center. |

Additional public computers are available in the Teen Area and the Children’s Department, although the use of these computers is restricted to teens and children from 3pm – 6pm during the week. There is a Black & White printer in the Teen Area and a Color Printer in the Children’s Department.
