Part-time Position - 20 hours per week

Are you available to work part-time, afternoons on weekdays? If so, you might be a good match for Rocky River Public Library’s job opening for Technical Services Cataloging and Processing Assistant.
RRPL seeks a Technical Services Assistant for a part-time position (20 hours per week). Afternoon hours Mon-Fri., 1:30-5:30. Your availability to occasionally work additional hours to fill in for vacations will be considered a plus. Duties are preparing and repairing materials for circulation. The work involves labeling, taping, gluing, and cleaning both print and audiovisual material, and also requires operating audiovisual equipment. In addition, you will be asked to perform data entry functions associated with online catalog maintenance, assist in cataloging and processing our library materials, and other clerical duties as required. Candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and place a top priority on providing customer service to staff and to the public.
A high school diploma or equivalent, computer experience, ability to resolve basic problems appropriately, and ability to work independently with general direction are required. Experience working in a library and/or mending library materials is desirable. The starting wage is $11.21 per hour. Pay may be higher depending on qualifications and experience.
