BORROWING INFORMATION

All records and borrowing information are confidential. You must have your RRPL card or state-issued ID, (such as a driver’s license), to check out materials.

Self-check stations are available for your convenience in the circulation area, children’s mezzanine and in the lobby.


DRIVE-UP WINDOW

(Book Drop available 24/7 for returns only.)

Open during regular Library hours for pick-up and drop-off services. Your Library card or driver’s license is needed to use the drive-up window. Vehicle traffic only.

You may be asked to come inside to pay fines, resolve issues, or pick up large items. Teacher Loans must be done inside the Library. Please do not put book donations in the Book Drop.


LOAN PERIODS

3 days for Quickflicks

7 days for New Release DVDs & Blu-rays, Rapid Reads, Magazines-to-Go, Videogames, iPads Launchpads, Playaway Views, and other mobile electronic devices

21 days for all other DVDs & Blu-rays, Books, Audiobooks, and CDs

42 days for Book Club oriented “Book Discussion in a Bag” bundles

OVERDUE: LOST TIMELINE:

1 day after due date: fines start to accumulate

7 days after due date: overdue notice sent

21 days after due date: item assumed lost; patron billed for replacement cost


ITEM LIMITS:


Borrowers are limited to 50 items on their account with the following exceptions:


RENEWALS

Renewals can be made in person or from home via phone or computer (see Circulation desk with valid I.D. for PIN.)

Ten overdue items suspends privileges to renew items and place holds.



OVERDUE FINES AND LOST ITEM CHARGES

  • $1.00 per day New Release DVDs & Blu-rays, Videogames, Playaway Views, iPads, Launchpads, Quickflicks, and other mobile electronic devices

  • 10 cents per day all other materials

  • Borrowers are responsible for the replacement cost of lost or damaged items, including parts.

    • When lost items are returned, the associated lost bills are canceled.

  • Charges of $10.00 or more on a borrower's card suspends borrower's privileges.

  • Ten overdue items suspends privileges to renew items and place holds.

  • Unresolved accounts with bills totaling at least $50 will be referred to a collection agency.



LIBRARY CARD


Please report the loss or theft of your card immediately, as you are accountable for all transactions on your card. Borrowers are responsible for the replacement of lost or damaged items, including parts.
